Why did you decide join the Marshalltown Community School District?

My family and I moved to Central Iowa suddenly in the summer of 2022, and I needed a job -- MCSD was willing to hire me during the summer months and I've been very grateful for that!

What do you enjoy most about being a member of the Bobcat community?

I enjoy experiencing the pride both MCSD employees and community members have for the school district.

What about your role at MCSD surprises you?

What surprises me most is experiencing the lightbulb moment -- both for myself professionally and seeing it in colleagues and students. It's such a fulfilling thing to witness or experience, and it's surprising because it tends to happen when you least expect it.

In your opinion, what makes Marshalltown Community School District special?

MCSD is unique in its commitment to being the frontrunner for districts across the state in embracing new strategies, processes, programs, activities, etc.

What does it mean to you to be a Bobcat?

Being a Bobcat means being a part of a community of people all striving towards the same goal- to help students become the best citizens they can be.
